In late 2006, Daystar acquired a 43 acre tract of property adjacent to Interstate 65 and immediately began planning our relocation to new facilities. With amazing expediency our “in house” building development team launched an aggressive building project with 100% approval of the church body. Phase One of this project will temporarily house all of our church ministries and is almost complete, but we are not a church built around facilities. We are currently worshiping in this facility and are putting together the finishing touches. Our grand opening will be in the Spring of 2008.
At the beginning of this project, Pastor Jerry Lawson challenged church members to catch the vision to “Experience the Journey” not from the sidelines, but from the playing field. The church responded by meeting the pastor’s goal of $1 million in 2-year commitments. This giving campaign ends at the end of 2008. There is still time for you to be a part of this bold step of faith.
